We were entrusted with the match-moving and rotoscopy on this Reese’s Puffs spot.

Motion blur was an extra challenge in some of the shots.

Why motion blur is hard. A fast-moving object is blurred at its edges. The edge is not sharp, so there is no clean line to cut along. The artist has to cut the shape and also keep the blur, or the object looks pasted on.
